Hi
I hope you can help , sorry for my poor english , i
do my best
I m trying to setup a Counter Strike server on the
new SME7.0 Beta8
I have normally to open few ports , after looking
on this forum , i found a way
config set steam service access public status
enabled TCPPort 27015
To activate
signal-event remoteaccess-update
So i open all the ports i need with this method but
the server is still not viewable on the net
Is there another solution ?
Thanks for your help

if you are running the cs server on the esmith box you don't need to open any ports!
If you are running the cs server on another pc on the network then you need to port forward those ports to your local ip
In my old days of running lanparties there used to be a linux halflife server bug which would stop you from seeing the server locally if the server was broadcasted externally (don't think that is a issue now days - but not sure)
My money is on there being a problem with your steam server setup

Thanks for your reply
The server is running on the SME , and i m sure that
i need to open ports . On the SME 6.01 , it was the same problem , and i had to open ports to be viewable on the net
Here are the ports i need to open
UDP 1200 (used for friends service)
UDP 27000 to 27015 inclusive
TCP 27020 to 27039 inclusive
TCP 27040 and 27041 only for CyberCafe Owners
Computers running Dedicated Servers need these
*ports* open:
UDP: 27015 and 27020 (default HLDS, SRCDS and HLTV
port)
TCP: 27015 (SRCDS Rcon port)
Is there a web site where i can test my ports to see
if they are open ?
Thanks for your help
