Title: redirects question
Post by: trakker on December 16, 2005, 08:00:37 PM
SME 6.0.1
used dungog's vdomain panel to redirect a domain,
unfortunately it was the primary domain!
now every attempt to access the server-manager gets
redirected to the redirect domain (so does any hit on webmail etc) so I can't change this setting back.

found the redirect info in
/home/e-smith/rdirect
which says not to modify etc...

found the script in
/etc/e-smith/templates/etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf/VirtualHosts/25ReDirects
but not sure as to how to fix my problem

anybody?
any help here would be greatly appreciated!

found the answer:

edit /home/e-smith/rdirect

remove the offending redirect line

then

/sbin/e-smith/expand-template /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf

and

/sbin/e-smith/signal-event conf-dungogRedirect

this is shown at the panel but if you redirect the wrong thing IE the primary domain, you'll never get to where you can find it.....

whew....

You should report this as a bug in the contrib. The panel should validate the data that you enter, and refuse to do anything which will completely break your system.
