Ok, I have run into a small problem.
I had a virtual domain added to e-smith, that I have subsequently removed because the site and email is now being hosted externally.
However, I have just sent an email out to a mailing list via another SMTP server within our network, and mail's to username@primary.domain were not received by the users.
I checked the SMTP logs from the SMTP server, and found the transcription of when the SMTP server sent messages to the e-smith server... strange thing is, the e-smith server provides a response to the other SMTP server of RCPT To:' and so the messages are being sent to the email server that is now handling the deleted virtual server's email.
Help, what do I do? I have noticed a lot of strange domain's appearing in email headers... one email came up with a domain name that I had entered into the HOSTNAMES function that pointed to an internal web site on an NT box...
Can anyone shed some light?
Thanks
Nick

i've had the same prob. pain in the butt.
i tried backing up, then reinstalling the whole system and then restoring - the "bad" virtual was stil there after restore.
as a new to intermediate linux user, i've got a hunch as to how to fix the prob but am not adept enough to do it safely - it may involve making a tarball of the /home directory then reinstalling from scratch and then very carefully configuring the system EXACTLY the way it was before EXCEPT for the virtual in question. then restore the /home directory from your tarball and delete the virtual from the /ibay directory.
my guess is that would work.
