Title: More upto date version of SME6.5?
Post by: artful on December 18, 2005, 07:01:17 PM
Does anyone have or know where I can get a more upto date version of SME 6.5?

I need a more recent version of mysql.

I tried updating my own 6.5 server with mysql 4.1 but it no longer works properly.

thanks

To get a more up to date 6.5, you need to get yum installed, then do a yum update.  http://no.longer.valid/phpwiki/index.php/Maintenance%20Process
However, MySQL will only be updated to mysql-server-3.23.58-1.73.6.legacy.  You will get MySQL 4.1 as the default on SME 7 beta.

If you really need to update your MySQL, then search these forums for mysql 4.1.  Someone has written a script to do this, and has posted info on how to get around some gotchas.
