Title: During configuration should I use a WAN public IP address
Post by: amicheals on December 21, 2005, 07:53:37 PM
Hi,

I have be unable to access the server-manager from my local Network and the computer.  I think it is because I have a netopia router that is blocking it the server.

I am currently reconfiguring the sme server.  Should I configure the netopia router with IP passthrough directly to the sme server as the ip address and configure the netopia router in server-gateway mode?

Thanks for your help

Amy Micheals

Also what would be the security implications if I do this?

It'd be helpful if you gave a bit more information about your network and what you're trying to do with your SME Server.
