Title: Cannot send mail when RBL filtering is added in Spamassassin

Whenever an RBL is added in Spamassassin for filtering I am unable to send mail. The log file error is for example
fatal: unable to run xbl.spamhaus.org: file does not exist
Tried reinstalling Spamassassin but no different
When all RBL filtering is removed mail can be sent.
The error in Webmail when you attempt to send mail with any RBL set is
There was an error sending your message: unable to set sender to .......
Am using SME 6 and latest Spamassassin install from Knudsen. Everything works as it should on other SME servers using this install.

The correct name for that RBL is
sbl-xbl.spamhaus.org

Try entering that.

Did you try any other RBL's ?

Did you click the Save button on the Spam Filter panel after making the RBL chnages ?


Check your db settings etc.

When I set the RBL I couldn' t send any email and receving as well. I couldn't remove RBL site from spam menu in Server-manager, how can I remove site manually? because the server-manager menu is not working.

This is my RBL Entry list which I couldn't  remove any entry from the list. I think maybe because of [whois.rfc-ignorant.org, sbl-xbl.spamhaus.org] this list. because I put two list in one entry. So how can I fix it manually becase I try remove this item and save/restart but still all items are in the RBL List.

RBL Entry  dnsbl.njabl.org Remove relays.ordb.org Remove sbl-xbl.spamhaus.org Remove whois.rfc-ignorant.org Remove whois.rfc-ignorant.org, sbl-xbl.spamhaus.org Remove

To get things back to standard I suggest you do
config setprop qpsmtpd RBLList sbl-xbl.spamhaus.org,whois.rfc-ignorant.org,dnsbl.njabl.org,relays.ordb.org
(all on one line)

signal-event email-update

(no need for the svc command)


To re-enter with only say two of those lists do

config setprop qpsmtpd RBLList sbl-xbl.spamhaus.org,whois.rfc-ignorant.org

signal-event email-update

Just re read your post. Are you using sme6 with spam filter panel or sme7 ?
My last post had instructions for sme7.

There are too many forums here to keep track of !
