Title: Integration with Windows Server environment
Post by: Dylan on December 23, 2005, 06:11:48 AM
Hello,

I am new to the SME server but am currently using it in an environment with an Exchange server, a Windows 2000 server, and a Windows Server 2003.  All servers except for the Exchange server are domain controllers.  I am using the SME server as a company web server and for clients roaming profiles and "My Documents" folders.

I am looking for some way to authenticate the SME users through the Windows servers or synchronize the passwords in some way.  I do not want to add the SME server into the mix as a domain controller in fear of causing many hours of grief with incompatibility issues.

Any ideas on how I could accomplish this?  Currently if a user wants to change a password they must change it through Windows and through user-password web interface on the SME server.
