Title: access to webserver
Post by: ronald1969 on December 24, 2005, 11:01:44 PM
I have installed Gallery 1 on my SME 6 server.
I use a Speedtouch 570 ADSL modem. I changed the NAPT setting so that port 80 is open (both UDP and TCP).
When I check at www.grc.com port 80 is open. When I try to access the server by typing my IP adress the server is not found.
What do I need to change more ?

What IP number do you try to access, your WAN IP?
That wont work from your local network.
Ask a friend to try and access the galery from his connection.

Ok, but when I trie to access my server by my WAN IP I get to see my Speedtouch login screen. Why is that then and not my server??
Is there any way to try because right now I don't have anyone available to try to access my server.

That means you have remote access enabled to configure your router using the webinterface.
Very insecure, you need to disable that unless you really need it.
Then use it with a very difficult password.
First get your network security setup.
