Title: Yum takse long time Resolving dependencies
Post by: crazybob on December 29, 2005, 03:00:48 AM
I just updated a server that was running 5.6U4 to SME 6.0.1. Everything went great. Then I started a yum update, and it has been running the cpu at 99.6% for over an hour. Need a little direction on what to do. The server is about 25 miles away, and I access via putty.

TIA

Bob

I think I solved my problem. I killed the yum process, did a " yum clean", then started the update process again. Things seem to be progressing properly now.

I thought everything was going to be ok, but now it is taking a lot of time to calculate available disk space. How long should I wait? It has been over 30 minutes so far
