Hey Folks,
Got to rebuild a Server for a client that lost a mirrored sata drive. Just wondering what version should I be using? 6.0, 6.01, 6.5RC1 7.0..lots of options.
He doesn't do anything fancy with the server, it's pretty much a file server with mirrored data drives, monitored UPS and a few contribs added but nothing crazy.
My concern is that I have an upgrade path to 7 without having to rebuild and that the sata mirroring works, I believe their was a version that had a bug.
Thanks,
Craig

By default, I believe SME 7 is the only version that supports SATA drives.
Remember, this is still in beta status.

Hi,
I would seriously consider using SME7BETA. There seems to be a committment to ensure that any version BETA8 and above will upgrade properly to the final version which is comforting.
However.... I would take extra precautions with your data.... and run a second system that is purely for testing.
