Koozali.org: home of the SME Server

Hi,
My question is not how can I make it work but what could possibly be causing the problem!
I have 2 SME servers running, at 2 different locations.
One of them I can VPN into from home, one of them I can't.
Both are clean installs, both on different hardware.
Both have 10 PPTP clients enabled in server manager and users have allow VPN access ticked.
The working one is in server only mode and is behind a netgear router. I have port 1723 forwarded.
The non working one is server and gateway, on a cable modem connection with no firewall or router.
I am thinking either NTL is blocking the traffic or the hardware is the problem.
I have a 3rd SME server at another location and I can VPN that one too.
I dont think it's my client, I dont think it's the server software, I dont think it is a configuration problem so all that is left is the ISP or the hardware.
What do you guys think?
Oh finally, when I try the non working one, my password is authenticated successfully and then there is a long delay while the dialogue box reports 'registering your computer on the network' then I get a 718 error.
Thanks for any help.

It might help to disbale PPTP and enable it again.
This way all firewall rules get rewritten.

Anything which doesn't work shoudl be reported via the Bug Tracker - link is to the left.

ok, i have added my comments to the Bug Tracker....I was just unsure if my untrained input was *really* that useful, but I guess every bit of info helps :-)
