Title: Greylisting
Post by: Jon_Reynolds on January 04, 2006, 12:33:30 PM
I am wanting to test out greylisting and have found a qgreylist patch and a discussion about using e-smith-mailfront-1.5.2-????. I have a 6.01 server, what is the recommended patch to add greylisting to my server?

Thanks for any help,

Jon

See this thread:

I wrote a greylisting package for 6.x, but abandoned it for the reasons I gave in that thread.

Thanks for the link Gordon, this is exactly what I was finding as I researched it. The more I have looked into it the less I like the idea. The one thing I did find that I thought might be a good alternative is to put a sleep in the smtp at the initial connection of the sending server. Is there a way this can be done with SME?

The "early talker" check is a standard feature in SME7.
