Title: DL380 Fans on high speed.
Post by: CKConsulting on January 10, 2006, 04:40:37 AM
I just picked up a Compaq DL380 and installed 6.0.1-01 with no issues.  Fans seem to be running at high speed.  I have install Windows on DL380's before and after the OS boots up the fan's slow down.  Is there a trick to slowing the fans down, or do I just live with the 747 sounds.

You need the hpasm rpm file from the hp site:

Could I get a little more help.

I installed the rpm and ran "hpasm activate"
Then followed the instructions.

All seemed to install ok,  but fans are still on high.
I rebooted, but fans are still on high.
