If anyone has some spare time, here are a few jobs that the developers and the documentation team would love some help with. If you are interested in any of these jobs, you are hired! :-)
Bug Chasers
-Monitor the forums for people discussing possible bugs in SME7 and direct
them to the bugzilla @ http://wiki.contribs.org/bugzilla
-Check newly submitted and open bugs and if needed, ask the reporter to
provide follow-up information.
-Please subscribe to the bugteam mailing list - send an email to
bugteam-subscribe@lists.contribs.org if you are interested
Pre Release Testers for SME7
-Download the latest version (pre1) from one of the mirrors:
http://smeserver.sourceforge.net/sme70/Downloads
-Test supported scenarios (fresh install, upgrade from unmodified SME6.x).
Test backups/restores. Test anything that you use on SME6.
-Note: Any problems with contribs - please uninstall the contrib and report
the problem to the contrib author. Some (most) SME6 contribs are not
compatible with SME7 - see these two pages for more details -
http://no.longer.valid/phpwiki/index.php/SME7Contribs and
http://smeserver.sourceforge.net/sme70/UpgradeFromModifiedSME6
-Create an account @ http://wiki.contribs.org/bugzilla with a VALID email
address and submit any bugs as soon as you think you've found one.
Translators
-Please check that the SME7 pre release works in your language. If you note any changes needed, please summarize and report to the bug tracker. Search the bug tracker for examples of how best to report any corrections you think are necessary.
Manual Editors
-There is a work in progress of a Manual for SME7. Each chapter is on a
separate wiki page, so many people can edit it at the same time. If you
have a particular interest/knowledge and would like to help out with that,
have a look here: http://smeserver.sourceforge.net/sme70/Manual
-Please join the docteam mailing list and introduce yourself -

Website Editors
-Most of the contribs.org site is in phpwiki and editable by everyone. Feel
free to edit any pages you want to make the site look better. A few pages
are locked - if you have some ideas to change those ones send a text file
with your suggestion to staff@contribs.org
-There is an auto-generated list of orphaned wiki pages (no other page links
to them) here: http://no.longer.valid/phpwiki/index.php/OrphanedPages -
Links to these pages should be added from appropriate places.
-If any of the orphaned wiki pages, or other pages, are obsolete/unnecessary and you think they are no longer needed please link to them from this page: http://no.longer.valid/phpwiki/index.php/ToBeDeleted
-Please join the docteam mailing list and introduce yourself -
