Title: Newbie here....Question
Post by: asys on January 17, 2006, 12:07:09 AM
We have been looking for new server software. Have been using OpenBSD 3.3. Which is text commands only. Looking for something better. Came across this SME Server 6.0.1, looks very good for Server software.
Is it??

Question... does it install off the iso image to the harddrive??? So you do not need the CD after the first install???

Hi,

Yes once you have installed from the CD you will not need again (unless you ever need to reinstall of course)

Once installed, have a look a using yum to do updates from web
