Hi All,
Can anyone please help with why the /var/log/secure is empty ?
i am trying to run bfd (brute force detection) by rfx networks.
this is to automate the firewall to add attacking hosts to the list of banned hosts.
bfd relies on the secure log file to deturmine incorrect login attempts to ssh
i need remote ssh to administer the box and dont want to have to dissable this feature.
is there any way to enable this method logging in SME Server ?
Thanks
Steve

Steve,
Can't help you with your specific question, but have you thought of using shared keys with SSH, and turning off password access? That way, nobody could gain access to your SME but yourself.
All the best,
Andy
