last night i went to update my sme server using PuTTy.
Current version: 6.5RC1
i remember it updated lots of stuff, and in the end it told me that it had renamed some filenames for backup reasons, wich i think is the config-files for email (and maybe other stuff).
I havent taken backup for weeks, and now i cant login to the webmail with any account. Looks like the pop3 works, but im not sure.
ftp works, server-manager works, telnet works.
I took a backup from server-manager, is that all i need to get up with same settings, plugins, user-data and so force?? and will it damage a fresh install to put this backup on it? (will it still fair loggin in?)
Please help me out with how to get my data out of the system, so I can get my data onto a new installation of SME server 7.0
Alternatively help me out getting my old settings back.

issue the following commands on the CLI:
/etc/e-smith/signal-event post-upgrade
/etc/e-smith/signal-event reboot
this has been discussed many many times.
-
[root@dreijer root]# etc/e-smith/signal-event post-upgrade
bash: etc/e-smith/signal-event: No such file or directory
[root@dreijer root]# /etc/e-smith/signal-event reboot
bash: /etc/e-smith/signal-event: No such file or directory
:-(

.....
/etc/e-smith/signal-event post-upgrade
/etc/e-smith/signal-event reboot
I appologize, should have been:
/sbin/e-smith/signal-event post-upgrade
/sbin/e-smith/signal-event reboot
I don't know what I was thinking....

Did the same and have the same problems. I did see an IMP-update in the update list
Did (of course)
/sbin/e-smith/signal-event post-upgrade
/sbin/e-smith/signal-event reboot
What did you "messed with it" with your server? Should I kick it?
