Title: Windows VPN connection to SME
Post by: dmac on January 23, 2006, 01:21:40 AM
Having a problem connecting a Windows XP and Windows 2000 computer to the SME Server.

The SME Server is running version 6.01 Custom.  The Remote access panel has been configured to allows vpn connections.

When using the built in Windows vpn connection, the user account and password are verfied, but the connection stalls when "Registering your computer on the network..".  When I use a Linux client to connect, the connection is established within seconds.

Has anyone come across this problem and is there any suggestions for resolution of this issue.

Regards,

The users are set for VPN access.  The user names and passwords are synced to the backend Windows Accounts as well.

The link you indicated, I have checked and set the client configuration as per that link.  Still no go.

I'm able to get past the user authentication, but it stalls when trying to register the computer on the network.
