Title: Newbie question
Post by: Ralph on December 16, 2001, 11:16:07 PM
Hi,
Sorry for the newbie quiestion.  I've tried to RTFM but have'nt figured it out yet.

How can I tell how much free space I have on a partition?  There has to be a simple answer, but I can't figure it out.

Well, if you're logged in with a windoze machine, your home directory will show this.  It'll be mapped as Z:, just get the properties.  Otherwise, log in as root at the console and type "df".

Darren,
Thank you.  That was exactly what I was looking for but didn't know how to ask.  I've set it up and it works perfectly.
