I have a E-Smith 4.1.2 on a Dual CPU (PIII 800), IDE (RAID) & NIC (3C509 GW & SERV). It is un-stable and locks-up. Can I simply replace the MB/CPU with a single P4 or do I have to re-install from scratch? I'm afraid the answer is re-install. But hoping for a Christmas wish right now.

it will work but then you wont get the p4 built kernel, and you will need to change lilo so that the up(uni-processor) option is the default.
