Title: Access Rights
Post by: icemannz on January 30, 2006, 03:27:51 AM
Does anyone know how to give specific users different access.
I would like to give a user access so that they can add users, Pseudonyms and reset passwords but I don't really want them to have full root access.

Any help is appreciated

I think what you are looking for is the userpanel, it's a start anyways

try this link

Yeah this is what you want...

heres the steps to installing

Logon as root

in consol type the following lines

wget http://mirror.contribs.org/smeserver/contribs/dungog/files/userpanel/e-smith-userpanel-1.6.5-3.noarch.rpm

wget http://mirror.contribs.org/smeserver/contribs/dungog/files/userpanel/perl-Unicode-String-2.06-1.i386.rpm

wget http://mirror.contribs.org/smeserver/contribs/dungog/files/userpanel/perl-Unicode-IMAPUtf7-1.02-1.i386.rpm

rpm -ihv perl-Unicode-String-2.06-1.i386.rpm

rpm -ihv perl-Unicode-IMAPUtf7-1.02-1.i386.rpm

rpm -ihv e-smith-userpanel-1.6.5-3.noarch.rpm

I'm not sure if this is the best way to do this, but this worked or my system

P.S.

Use PuTTy to install, cut and paste is much easier than typing this!
