Title: Asterisk PBX on SME 6
Post by: wallyrp on February 04, 2006, 10:21:35 AM
Good Morning,

Ok, I'm going bald and before I lose those last few strands that will cover my crown, I thought I'd post.

I've tried to follow all the how-to's relating to Asterisk on SME6 with varied success. I've seen all the posts about Asterisk on SME7 but I'm waiting for the final release, whenever that will be, before going that route. I want to get it installed here at the house but I'm about to go download the dadblame Asterisk@home CD ISO and just use that. This whole thing is crazy. Also, all the postings are only dealing with the @home version from what I can tell right? Where's the real full blown thing come into play? Can it not be installed on SME 6 or 7?

Between missing files and broken links, I'm at my wits end. If there's any shred of hope, help, advice, direction, or how-to's that would be different from what I've seen, any of that would be much appreciated.

Duncan's How-To:

He'll go over CVS installs and you can go that way for both 6 or 7. Cyr's How-To will use pre-compiled CVS versions.

They are all "full blown things" and they come with extra accessories, to make your life easier by allowing you to edit files using AMP, instead of by hand.
