Title: How save is upgrading to MySQL 4.x
Post by: Rien on February 06, 2006, 12:07:09 AM
Hi,

I want to install SugarCRM (SugarSuite-4.0.1.zip) on my SME6.0.1-1 server (fully updated with Yum). It only works with MySQL 4.x.

I've several other applications on my server like Mambo, Joomla and MediaWiki, all using MySQL. I also has several Dungog rpm's installed like "E-mail management", "E-mail po3's & prefilter", "cron jobs", "Virus scanning", "backup" and "resync".

How save is it to use the upgrade script on this contrib? Wil this cause deleting existing databases?

http://no.longer.valid/phpwiki/index.php/How%20to%20Upgrade%20MySQL%20to%204.0.x%20for%20SME%20Server

Is there a way back when something goes wrong?

I use a very old pc as server. No need to jump over to SME 7.0 now.

But how do I upgrade to MySQL 4 and how save is it really?
