Hi,
I just installed Joomla 1.0.7 in my SME Box.
My problem is, when i access the page from the local network, it only displays text version of the homepage.
I ask somebody to text over the internet, and it works fines. Can see all graphics.
What could be the problem?
Thanks

Are you trying to access you website using the local ip or the URL? I know that if I try to access my site by the http://www.mysite.com from the local LAN, I don't get any graphics on it (because of the way my firewall works). If I access it using the IP address or host name of the server, it works fine.

I am seeing the opposite problem. I installed Joomla to an i-bay and when I access from my LAN (http://host_name/joomla) everything looks great, but from the internet (http://name.dyndns.org/joomla) all I see is text, w/ the exception of the template chooser. I set up the i-bay to be accessable from the LAN and internet, and the only router that I am using is the SME server. I haven't tried to install Joomla to the Primary page yet to see if it works there.
Is there some other config that I need to do to let the outside world see the graphics from this i-bay?
Thanks,
Ryan

Hi,
My installation is in the primary and still is. The SME box is behind a firewall with content filtering.
I found out that the filtering also filters the page that the reason why i see only text page. So i added the SME box in the exemption list (without filtering) then it worked.
I also cleaned the cache of my browser.

I just installed Joomla to the Primary and I can see it just fine from the web now. I did notice that when I had it on the i-bay, that menu items and links from the main page were pointing to a my server's name rather than my dyndns address. For example if I clicked on a news article instead of trying to open my_name.dyndns.org/joomla/blah_blah_blah, it was trying to open SME_Server_Name/joomla/blah_blah_blah. So I am wondering if it was trying to find the images the same way, and just couldn't find them? I don't have another router running, so the only routing is taken care of by the SME Server.
Has anyone had any luck installing Jooma to an i-bay? I would like a seperate install that can only be reached if you know the address (and have the password), but would like to keep my main site "as-is"...
Thanks,
Ryan

OK, I think I figured out what I did wrong. I think that I installed Joomla by pointing my browser to http://SME_Server_Name/joomla instead of http://my_name.dyndns.org/joomla.
It seems to be working fine now.
