Post by: joako on December 22, 2001, 12:21:46 AM
I cannot get the webserver to execute .cgi files, it always says something like:

Forbidden
You don't have permission to access /akumainc/coranto.cgi on this server.

php works fine in that same ibay

hay chmod all the excutable files 775 or greater or they will not work. if they say chmod 755 then chmod  775 then they will work so

chmod 755 = chmod 775

if it is onlu like chmod 666 then it is ok but I tend to set all files that are CGI's to 775

But I would just say play with the chmod settings till it works and then you will be fine.

tried that and 777

but i am moving to hosting service for the main site because the cable modem only gives 50 k/sec upload and when many ppl are on it my internet slows down.
