Title: VPN & Microsoft client

I am running SME 5, in server only mode, behind another firewall.
I have opened the pptp ports, but I must be setting something up wrong.

If I have a win2k box connected with a cable modem to the net, what settings do I need on the SME box to establish a PPTP connection using the basic MS client?

In the logs, I can see it try to connect, but then die. The client says it never connects.

under remote access change the # of pptp clients. works like a charm for me, I can see the entire lan on the computer i connected with.

Hi Joako,

How did you manage to see the entire lan... when i connect to my network via vpn i can only ping the machines on my lan via IP address but not netbios name and in netwok neighbourhood i see nothing.....
