Title: Anyone tried SME7x on flash drive or as iSCSI target?
Post by: dhalliday on February 17, 2006, 03:54:22 AM
I am looking to put together a SAN and was thinking I could put SME 7 on an IDE flash device and install some iSCSI target software. Rather than use the commercial open-e solution (www.open-e.com).

Has anyone tried putting SME 7x on an ide flash device? How big does it have to be?

Has anyone tried using an iSCSI target implementation on a SME? If so what are the experiences?

Thanks,

D.

You might have better luck googling for info.  Keep in mind SME7 uses the same kernel as CentOS 4 / RHEL4.  Any info on those will be relevant.
