Title: Problem with RBL in Spamassassin
Post by: jimgoode on February 17, 2006, 08:11:46 PM
After upgrading to 6.0.1-01 I downloaded and installed Spamassassin.

After running for a few days, I began adding one RBL about every other day to reduce SPAM. When I added "contacts.abuse.net" I could no longer receive or send email. The sending email received the following message from System Administrator.
----------------
Your message did not reach some or all of the intended recipients.

      Subject:   Test from office
      Sent:   2/15/2006 3:03 PM

The following recipient(s) could not be reached:

      Jimhm (E-mail) on 2/15/2006 3:03 PM
No transport provider was available for delivery to this recipient.
-----------------

Has anyone else encountered this type of reaction? Can anyone explain why this would occur?

The problem was corrected by removing the RBL and restarting the Spamassassin (using the SME server manager panel).

Thanks,
Jim

"contacts.abuse.net" is a defunct list - in otherwords - no worky no more.
