Title: Kernal Panic Upgrade from 7.0(pre1) to 7.0 (pre3)
Post by: mdrum on February 21, 2006, 09:35:08 AM
I am looking for some direction to save me from a fresh install :-)

On the upgrade I now get a "Kernal Panic - not syncing attempted to kill init"  The server HDD are in a raid 5 array on an Adaptec DTP SCSI controller (I20 block device).  I have followed the instructions for bug698
(http://bugs.contribs.org/show_bug.cgi?id=698)

This has not been successful.  I can mount the drive in rescue mode and the commands appear to run with out error.  I checked and the SCSi controller along with the HDD appear in the hwconfig file.

Where to from here ?

Thanks
Mike Drummond
