Title: 7.0pre iso integrity
Post by: cozmos9 on February 22, 2006, 10:48:03 PM
This is probably nothing, but I thought I would post it just to be sure.  The iso file I downloaded passes md5 check, but fails the cd test in the install routine.  The first time this happened, I downloaded another copy from a different site - Asia site.  Same thing.  I am wondering if some of the files in iso are corrupted.

Jean, please take a log in the Bug Tracker and see if your problem is there, what pre release was it I know there was problems with pre2 IIRC?

If its a different release then please post to bug tracker as the core dev team may miss this post and it does no harm in posting in the bug tracker too.

Thanks!

Logged it on bugzilla.  Apparantly, this is a known issue with RH distro.  Gordon is going to find the info on it.  From what I gather so far, the CD check error can be ignored as long as md5 sums correctly.

Looks like this can be safely ignored.  Fillipo found this info:
