server: 6.0.1
currently onboard Intel Pro 100 ethernet.
I want to upgrade to Gigabit (brand unsure).
Anything I should worry about? Will it be just configure the h/w in the bios (disable onboard), then reboot into admin, and reconfig eth0?
Is it that simple? Does 6.0.1 recognise or care the speed (gigabit)?
TIA

No one seems willing to make a stab at this, so here are my two cents.
We have been able to get an Intel gigabyte to run but had to get the driver. I believe we used the driver that came on the drive CD with the adapter. There was a RH2 Linix camp. driver. I'm sure if I'm wrong here that the greater minds will chime in.
If you need additional info about what we got up and running, let me know.
