Hi folks,
I'm having a bit of a problem sending my via my e-mail provider. I am using AOL which blocks port 25 and only allows though e-mails from @aol.com addresses which is is not much use for me.
My e-mail provider (3rd party provider) will only allow me to send mail through their SMTP servers if I use secure SMTP with authentication.
I can send mails fine using Thunderbird, the problem is, I can't seem to find a way of getting the SME Server to authenticate against the e-mail providers smtp server.
Does anyone know how I can force the server to use SSMTP to send e-mails via my e-mail provider?
Regards,
Rob

Rob,
You cange this in the server manager - E-mail - Change email delivery settings.
You get the option to deliver email to your ISP via SSMTP.

Rob,
don't forget to tell them you are on 6.0.1, I know it's not obvious but this conversation should be carried on in the General Forum (Where you started the original thread) or 6.x forum.
People assume you are on 7.x in this forum.

I'm now trying this on an SME Server 7.0 box running on VMWare.
I'm still also using the SME Server 6.01 box.
I'll have a look at the e-mail delivery settings when I get home from work this evening.
