Title: Spam Filter documentation

Currently using 7Pre2, and have looked at enabling the spam filter. I've hunted about for documentation on what is happening with filtering but I can't see it.  Whilst I see that the spam filter "tags" emails, I could not work out what happens then, or whether the filter receives updates of filter lists or what ever.
Is there a doc available that relates to the spam filter as it appears in version 7?  The docs I do have omit reference to how it all works.

  I don't know if it's documented yet, but this would be the place to start.
