I'm a beginner with Linux.  Is it possible to have the complete instructions how to install the updates for SME 6.5?

install yum
Search the site and you will find what you need.

Ok Thanks,  I did it.  

Is there a way to check if everything is updated.  A kind of log file for example.

in /var/log
there should be a yum.log file
type
