Title: using an existing USB ntfs disk on sme server

all,

On my windows system i have an USB harddisk connected.
I like to use that disk on my SME server and share it as a samba disk
Can i just connect it, mount it and use it, without loosing my existing data ?

Your better off going in the other direction. Linux does not currently provide full support for NTFS. This is a work in progress.

Windows XP can support Linux ext2/3 with the addition of an ext2 VFS driver:
