Please help.
I set up SME as a server-gateway. It was running great, had a dns forwarding service and dynamic IP. Then I got the bright idea of having Verizon give me a static IP and a new domain. Now I got no net.
System is set up as follows
Internet > Modem > Sme (dual nic) > wireless router (DHCP disabled) > switch
This was working fine. Now it's not.
I have added the new toplevel domain and the DNS servers that Verizon gave me, to no avail. The old DNS that was forwarding though is still there and I can't delete it. The server-manager will only allow me to delete the new one.
The old forwarded domain is now pointed at an empty Ibay with local host.
I have the Static Ip from Verizon, the subnet and the gateway. Where do I put these in? I don't see anything on server-manager to do this. I did change the DNS servers to Verizons settings.
Is it a firewall issue? Do I need to open ports? I haven't changed anything from the intial install.
Should I dump what I have and reinstall SME?
THANK YOU!

Log in to your server as admin by SSH/telenet or physically when in front of the server. If you do so you will see the Server Console.
Using option 2. Configure this server you should be able to enter your new domain settings and the static IP without reinstalling your server, thus without losing the information in the ibays.

I'll try that next time. I ended up doing a new install and set up. Thanks anyhow.
