Title: Channging primary web site host name
Post by: Ulf H on January 03, 2002, 04:59:11 PM
I want to change primary website host name from www to www2 becaus i want to use my e-smith as a secondary web server. The e-smith installation uses by default www for primary web site. Any ideas.

I think what you want can be done from the "Hostnames and addresses" page in the e-smith-manager.
Click on the create button to create a new host called www2, and point the ip-address to the one of your server. Next click on the remove button of the www hostname, and it should be working.

Sorry I may not make myself cleare. The hostname and stuff is ok, the problem is that the Appache server defaults to www regardless off the hostname of the box. This is a problem when using the mp3 blade because whan makin the playlist for streaming mp3 it alvays be www.xxx.com. the problem here is that i want Appache to use www2 for the default web server because www is pointed in my dns to an external web hotell.
