I have got a problem of bouncing mail between my exchange server and SME:
here my config:
Exchange server---- SME -----FAI_SMTP
Config in the server-manager:
configuration/emails:
Address of internal mail server 129.44.200.1
Address of Internet provider's mail server relais-rain-pdl.megalis.org
I have configure a smtp connector in my exchange so all the internal mail are send to the SME (the config works well if configure the connector to the smtp of the fai)
when i send a mail to an external adress a hav this message:
Impossible de remettre le message au destinataire en raison d'une erreur de configuration du système de messagerie. Votre message rebondit continuellement entre deux serveurs ou est transféré à répétition entre deux destinataires. Contactez votre administrateur système.
(bouncing mails)
so perhaps when SME receive internal mail it makes the same action as an external mail traitment
(Im not sure to be clear :-o (I'm a french guy  :-D )
So what d ou think about that ?

I think you have created a mail loop! Setting the Exchange server as the "internal" or delegate mail server in the SME configuration makes it pass all emails to the Exchange server. Since you've set the Exchange server to pass all SMTP traffic to the SME server, voila, around and around go the emails.
What are you trying to do? If you are trying to have the SME server preprocess the email for spam & viruses before sending them to the Exchange server, I would set your Exchange server to use your ISP's SMTP server when it is sending email, and I would further set your Exchange server as the SME Server's SMTP smarthost. That way, if the SME Server sends an administrative alert to an external email address, it will send it to the Exchange server which will relay it to your ISP's SMTP server.

Why it's not possible to make all in the same time ?
this the way of an external mail
smtp relay of my FAi ---> sme ---> Exchange
this is the way of an internal mail
Exchange ---> sme ---> Smtp of my Fai
For me it's note a loop because the arrival way is not the same:
if the mail arrive by the external netwotk card sme must send it to exchange, if tje mail arrive to the internal NC, sme must send it to the smtp of my fai ....
No ?
Thx for your response !
