Title: Same i-bay name as user name??
Post by: calisun on March 21, 2006, 08:19:04 AM
is it posible to have i-bay with the same name as a user name?
I have a possible client that wants to start a dating web site. What they want to have is people to be able to view someones profile they would go to
www. their domain. com/john and to email that person john@ their domain. com

As I remember correclty each name can only be used once for accounts or ibays, so if you create a ibay called 'user1' you can not make a 'user1' user on your system anymore, the other way around is also the same.

No. Each ibay and user creates a share name in samba, and you obviously can't have two different shares with the same name.

I'd suggest you open a New Feature Request suggesting that i-bays should have optional email forwarding, much like pseudonyms.
