Title: Port forward isn't forwarding?
Post by: Arend on January 06, 2002, 08:33:08 PM
Hi, I'm trying to redirect all traffic on port 80 to an internal IP address but I can't get it to work.  I installed the port forwarding RPM so that the module shows up in e-smith manager.  I then setup port 80 to forward to 192.168.1.200 dest port 80.  Everything says successful but when I try to access the site from an external location, I get the default e-smith website instead of the internal web server's site.

Is this something that is possible?  I'm using e-smith 4.1.2 with the module dmc-mitel-portforwarding-0.0.1-4.noarch.rpm

thanks
Arend

Do a search on the forums for ProxyPass - it's an Apache directive which will do what you want.

What if I want to forward port 21 for FTP also?
