I am just about to install e-smith on a pc to use as a ICS on a home server. Now, can I also use the system to store MP3, and will I also be able to get the mp3 to play through the pc's sound card.
If so, how?

You can store all your mp3's on it if you wish. If you use Version 5, you can use the MP3 blade to make all your music available via web connection, and stream to any pc on the network. As for making the server machine play music.....why? I suppose you'd have to recompile the kernel to enable sound support. Then, get the drivers for the said sound card, and some mp3 software for decoding the music.
