Title: unable to install
Post by: Aldert E. van der Laan on January 31, 2000, 08:19:31 PM
I seem to have difficulties installing version 4 on the following system:

P133 / 132mb
Adaptec 2940
4GB SCSI harddisk
NEC SCSI Cd-Rom

Booting from the floppy it loads the correct driver (AIC7xxxx)
Looking at CTRL-ALT-F4 it finds the CD-Rom and starts loading from it.  I get a kickstart error and the system reboots.

I installed 3.1 and this also gives some intermittend problems during installation.  It seems that kickstart again is not running correctly, resulting in putting all the information in manually after the system reboots.

I took another system, an older 486 and the system installed without a problem (Adaptec 1542b with 4gb disk).
There must be a problem in either detecting the hardware correctly or something else.
Is there any way to get some kind of error log so I can see where the script goes wrong?

Ignore my last message....

I got another main board and am up and running.

GREAT Product, now VPN support and we'll sell this software.
