Title: Is that a samba bug?
Post by: haj on April 04, 2006, 01:20:56 AM
Hello,

A problem I have noticed: under SME there is a problem saving files from a Windows workstation to an Ibay using Macromedia Fireworks 8.

When tring to save an already opened file, software complains about an internal error. In the ibay, a file is created for each saving try: 00000001, 00000002, 00000003 etc....

On SME 6.5 it happens all the time wheras on latest SME 7 it sometimes works after many tries... On SME 7 it also happens with Adobe Illustrator CS and on new files creation (saving a file that desn't exists), on SME 6.5 it seems not.

A workaround is to save using an other name or deleting the original while it is apen and then save the file...

All I want is help finding what happens, I had a look in msb, nmb logs, in messages.log and in dmesg but no error appears... Any way to find what is happening?

Best regards
