There are a couple free contribs from dungog.net that will allow this, but your users will have to connect via vpn, or putty with a tunnel, to access it

thanks crazybob,

I would need a method for staffs from an oversea office to change through the web browser e.g "www.domain.com/userpassword". This feature is available for local users, would like to find out if theres any way to do this for remote users who has no technical knowledge to use putty and vpn capabilities.

Looking forward to suggestions.

What I did that allowed access to both user-manager and server-manager remotely was add the IP 0.0.0.0 with a subnet mask of 0.0.0.0 as a Remote Management network.

Then as long as the person used the https they could access what they needed, including user-password.

crazybob answered your question, but you didn't realise it.

Install the free user manager contrib from dungog.
Then assuming your overseas office has a static IP, enter this in the remote access, remote management panel.
Configure user manager to allow users to change their password.

Entering 0.0.0.0 as suggested by santiagon is a BAD idea, as it opens your server manager to access by ANYONE, they just need to crack your password and they are in, it's just a matter of time.

If you have installed the free dungog user manager contrib(s) (there are multiple componenets on sme7) and configured a remore IP to allow access, then I believe that the standard user-password function is also accessible via
https://www.yourdomain/user-password

As well you can use
https://www.yourdomain/user-manager
