good day to all,

i just browse to your site. and i am very eager to try the sme server, but first i would like to ask for an advise regarding the installation, coz i don't see any download for version 6 only 7. Is it okey if i go to ver 7 immediately and by the way i am using SLES9.

please do give me an advice, i am just a newbie.

Jet,

First bit of advise...Read the forum instructions and don't post new topics in this forum, use the catagories above.

SME 6.0.1 can be found here:

http://mirror.contribs.org/smeserver/releases/6.0.1/iso/

It has to be updated so follow the update instructions here:

http://no.longer.valid/phpwiki/index.php/How%20to%20update%20SME%20Server

I suggest you follow the instructions on that page on how to install yum.

If you want to test version7rc1, go ahead it is fairly stable.  I use it in 2 production locations and have not had any major problems.  If you are new to SME you might as well start with SME7.

Remember, only use the fora above from now on.
