Title: Unable to manage thru browser
Post by: V. Williams on January 10, 2002, 12:33:57 AM
In setting up the server I have not configured the browser mode right. I am denied access to server-manager feature through a web browser. Where do I set this feature up?

Try typing \www.mydomain.com\server-manager

Instead of using the internet DNS name for your server, try using the host name, like:

http://hostname/server-manager

That should resolve without any problems.

Thanks to everyone that e-mailed me. But over the weekend I figured out the problem, the computer that I was browsing from was in a different subnet. So I set my IP to the same subnet and it works again. I just figured the manager could be reached from anywhere on the internet, wrong.

Again Thanks
