Title: enabling DHCP after install
Post by: andrewj7 on April 12, 2006, 12:58:34 PM
I am running SME 7.  When installing I didn't want this machine to be doing the DHCP for my network so chose not to enable it.  However, now I do.

Could someone tell me how I enable it without reinstalling and also how i can then assign static IP address to clients with a given MAC address

thanks

I can tell you the first part you will need to from command line...

su admin

and then I think it's option 2 re-configure settings and follow on screen instructions...

excellent, thank you.  I knew it would be something simple.
