To Dear All:
Hello everybody, It was my first time to get into the Linux world. In case, I need to build up a server in the office, but we need to use the Chinese Language in our business. Can the system support in Chinese Fonts?
And two more question, can the server support the disk space management? Can the sofeware support IDE raid (I have read the information in Red Hat's Web, the Red Hat can Support it?
Can you teach me how to do it?
Best Regard,
Stanley Mok

Hi Staneley,
The SME server (e-smith) doesn't have to support chinses character or whatever character for it simply doesn't do anything with characters.
It's a console bases server not a desktop GUI 'thing'.
If you like to know if your workstations/clients would have any difficulty using theSME server the answe is NO. You can use SME server in ANY win/mac/*ux enviroment in ANY language. As an administrator, you should (ofcource) be able to read and understand english but you can do that :-)
Disk management is a broad statement, do you quota support, RAID, checkup's or what?
Maybe it's best you post your wishes exactly as you want to do/build it. Somebody will repond to your kind request. Just post your exact plan.
Regards,
