Title: IDE TAPE
Post by: pelini on April 20, 2006, 12:01:11 PM
SME server 7 does not support IDE TAPE DRIVE.
I want to re-compile Kernel with CONFIG_BLK_DEV_IDETAPE set to Yes.
Howto do that ??.
What sources of Kernel ??

Thanks.

Well, you wouldn't recompile the kernel, but you would compile the missing ide-tape module. But both RedHat and Dell recommend that you use the ide-scsi module instead. See:
