Hello,
First of all I am new to linux. Second - excuse me for my bad english.
We have ADSL line with static IP. We are trying to setup e-smith 4.1.2 to be our router/gateway and mail server. Instalation was succesfull. Everyting looks OK. From management console we setup all ethernet cards correctly. One short question - do I need always input DNS name for one card? We have one NT domen server with DHCP. When I setup one PC with static IP everyting looks to working correctly. But pages are opening slowly. When I try to use dynamic IP (from ours NT server) I can ping only internal card on e-smith server, not external. But external card is working - my friends can ping my external IP adress. What information I have to check in my e-smith server to be absolutely shure that it is working correctly? How can I do that? What commands should I use? Or maybe NT server does some stupid things ;-) ?
I am looking for any help. Thanks.

Just put the right info in your nt box... like dns, gateway.... etc. Computers can't think for them self... not yet!!!???

You are almost done!
Check
1. e-smith servers ip is gateway and DNS server for all clients in your network (including NT-Server).
2. Better do not use dhcp from NT-server.
3. You can ping outside world (e.g. www.disney.com) from the server console?
This should be it. Follow client-setup instructions from the e-smith manual. As last fix you could/should disable dhcp on NT box and (if needed) enable it on e-smith server.
